Postdoctoral Fellowship Asthma Scholarship in Agro-ecosystem Analysis


Asthma Scholarship International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit a postdoctoral scientist to conduct research on how the integration of water management for the different landscape components (livestock, crops, trees, and human settlement patterns) can lead to benefits for livelihoods and environment in the Nile Basin, Ethiopia. Asthma Scholarship Depending on the profile of successful candidates for this position will contribute to (i) develop a scenario for how the landscape may evolve and the implications for the productivity of water, health, ecosystems and livelihoods, (ii) to analyze the performance and impact of local learning networks and / or (iii) assess the impact of life and poverty widespread adoption of rainwater management strategies of different positive strategies to support the design. This research will be cross-discipline that involves aspects of livestock production, agronomy, soil science, water management and livelihood analysis. This Asthma Scholarship research will involve close collaboration with the International Water Management Institute.

Postdoctoral Researcher or PhD Candidate Asthma Scholarship


The Asthma Scholarship project aims to provide new reflections and insights into the discussion on the legitimacy of post-national rulemaking starting from three distinct but in this project uniquely combined legal perspectives. The main objective is to relate perspectives from public
international law, European public law and European private law on post-national rulemaking and to examine through a new lens any legitimacy concerns that may arise from the new arrangements. The project will further develop a normative framework for the analysis of post-national rulemaking applicable across all three areas. This Asthma Scholarship will require theoretical work on the concepts of rulemaking and legitimacy starting from the perspectives of the three different areas of law.

* Postdoctoral researcher: Completed dissertation in European private law
* PhD candidate: Completed law degree
* Ideally the successful candidate will have some knowledge of
international and European public law

Conditions of employment
Postdoctoral researcher: The appointment will be for the period of one year,
preferably commencing on 1 September 2011, with the possibility of a two-year extension. TheAsthma Scholarship gross full-time monthly salary will be in accordance with
University regulations for academic personnel, and will range from € ¢â’¢¬2,861 (scale 10) to a maximum of € ¢â’¢¬4,374 (scale 11) based on a full-time contract.

PhD Asthma Scholarship candidate: The appointment will be for the period of one year, preferably
commencing on 1 September 2011. Extension of the contract to a maximum of four
years is subject to satisfactory performance after the first year. The gross
full-time monthly salary will be in accordance with the salary scales for PhD
candidates at Dutch universities, i.e. ranging from € 2,042 in the first year to € 2,612 in the final year.
Secondary benefits at Dutch universities are attractive and include 8% holiday pay and an 8.3% end of year bonus.

The Faculty of Lawis strongly engaged in society and has an international
orientation, which is reflected in its research and education activities. The
Faculty offers three Bachelor’s programmes and a number of Master’s programmes, two of which are taught exclusively in English (i.e. International and European Law and European Private Law). Lee Kuan Yew Fellowship-Master Asthma Scholarship in Public Management


Asthma Scholarship / grants on a competitive basis below the MPM candidates who have clearly demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and are offered to recognize committed to public service. A scholarship / grant fully funds the training of the candidate in the Master in Public Management program.

By watching the
Asthma Scholarship / fellowship, not all prices, unless the nominee is merit will be awarded. In addition to meeting strict criteria for entry into the MPM program, all scholars / researchers also demonstrate the unique capability of education and professional honors.

Fellows/Asthma Scholarship may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship or award without the prior approval of the School.

There is no bond or obligation for the Fellow/Scholar to be employed by NUS or in Singapore.
